American Skateboard Shoe brand Vans has teamed up with the UK based Offspring, offering to us lowly consumers a brightly coloured (notice the “u” cause it’s from the UK) extremely-mini collection of lace-up Low’s to drool over this summer.
I needed a new pair of Vans anyway
This isn’t the first time Offspring and Vans made babies- let’s not forget last year’s collaboration- using sweatshirt material and heather grey and red as a theme.

Ladies and gentlemen (but mostly ladies) meet the next Hello Kitty collaboration- Vans, the iconic skate shoe brand teams up with the adorable kitty (and other Sanrio characters for the shoe above) for a tiny collection, launching this summer. The collection includes the Slip-On, the Sk8 Hi D-Lo, and the high-top lace-up shoe shown above. The sneakers will be released June 2011 at Vans stores, in the Vans online store and also at select Sanrio boutiques and Sanrio.com.
I personally am not a huge fan of these particular Hi D-Lo’s or the slip ons but those lace up high tops? I really like them- not sure if the print is something I can rock with but the silhouette of the shoe is DOPE.
What do you think???

This song/video really surprised me with how cool and mature it is off break. The flows from the Pac Div guys are ill, the beat is sophisticated (as is the wardrobe in the video) and I’m loving the black and white. “Mania!” could have been a really explicit and/or nasty song but the Southern Cali boys did it perfectly.
“If you put it on me you gon’ do the best you can, and you better know how to ride it like an equestrian (look it up)” HA! Yes, I love the word play.
Pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy: “Mania!”

I’m still playing around with my new camera that I don’t know how to use but I stopped by the new MIA Skate shop in Sunny Isles to check out the store and see how it measured up to its South Beach counter part.
Located in a shopping plaza in Sunny isles Beach , FL next to Marshalls , its a more consumer friendly location in comparison to the high-traffic, irritable and little-to-none parking of South Beach. The store is roooomy to say the least with a long wall of shoes to your left and an even longer impressive wall of decks to your left.
If you have been to their website , skatepark , or skate shop then you know what to expect from MIA with the usual Nike SB‘s and Supra , Vans , decks , wheels , and much more. Its a great canvas for the beginnings of something creative in that location , judging off its large square footage of that particular store im sure the company will plan to decorate the dull space with time. It’s still a relatively new location and plus they plan on opening a skatepark in Sunny Isles location so the shop is the first step to greatness.
Check out the pictures and check out MIA Skate shop‘s website for kicks and skate gear and then some. Drop by the store and say 2DOPEBITCHES.com sent ya !

Vans has teamed up with the musical, funny, “full of things parents can watch without going crazy while their kids are happy” kids’ show
for an adorable mini collection of kids’ shoes. The collection has high top lace-up and also classic slip on vans in bright colorways with the characters of the show on the canvas.
This collection is available for your little ones at Journey’s Kids stores and Nordstrom

The prices are reasonable Vans prices: $32 to $37 for slip-ons and $40 to $45 for the high tops
Not familiar with Yo Gabba Gabba? It’s a kids’ show that comes on NickJr. There is a DJ names DJ Lance Rock who plays music and brings to life these creature-toys that live in their own world and have everyday issues like eating right and making friends. It’s a show that my nieces TigerLilly, 3, and Nahla, 2, LOVE and my sister can actually bear to watch because they truly make it watchable for parents as well as children. Well known celebrities like Elijah Wood, Tony Hawk, and Quest Love from the Roots appear on the show.

This is a pretty dope Collab for the show- I loved their work with Kidrobot
man. how good life must be to be a shoe designer, be part of such a dope ass collab as Vans, and be able to have fun, design, skate, party and work with your best friend creating dope shoes. just creating. not worrying about money-how much that leather or fabric will cost, how much this sample will cost. LAWD. i sure these guys worked hard to get where they are now, and that’s the motivation i use to keep going and designing and going from concept to creating. peep this video of twins Atiba and Ako Jefferson, aka The Blackouts, talk about their baby, Vans OTW.
let me school you.
whether you’re new to Miami, born and raised but just never traveled outside your comfort zone, or just passing through, if you love sneakers, this post is for you. i was talkin to my boy, who LOVES jordans, and he’s never been to any of these spots and he is from Miami…
i LOVE sneakers and I’m lucky enough to have great stores at my fingertips in South Beach. of course there are other spots in Miami that are tight that im not hip to, so if you wanna fill me in, please leave a comment.
i decided to just name these 3 spots as i personally frequent them, and i really like the guys who work at these stores. and let me just say that customer service is extremely important. like, if i walk into a sneaker store, and dude acts like he’s too cool for school cause he sells deadstock, im immediately turned off. i appreciate these guys being super nice and down to earth, and down to just kick it while in the store, ya dig?
so peep the next page for these spots, pics, info, and more
