The latest single to drop by YNG, “Still Not A Player” is out and I have a feeling this will be a popular summer jam. It showcases a typical male outlook on dating brought to you in an atypical delivery of lyrics over a nostalgic and chill beat. It goes mostly without saying that this song is also a slight homage to (and sampling of) Big Pun’s “Still Not A Player.” It’s a nice addition for us late 80′s/90′s babies.
“I’m not a player I just like to get a round, I ain’t getting any younger I would love to settle down, I run around with kings I deserve to wear a crown I deserve a little head when my girl is not around..”
YNG’s album, No Sleep Till Boogie II will be out in early April 2013. I’m definitely feeling the upcoming album’s cover (above) designed by Jahrue and styled by Kevin Oboh.

Peep out how we swagged out our B.Wood shirts. (pants not necessary when you’re on your own balcony) :
Miami based clothing brand NCSRY gives their customers what they want. With clever graphics and street conscious branding, the guys over at NCSRY know their customer and are playing the game right. They feature a huge base in the classic urban Miami streetwear shop SIMON’s as well as being featured in other retail boutiques in New York, Philadelphia, DC and more. These guys hustle hard. Getting to know the men behind the brand, they are extremely cool dudes. Their outlook is even cooler as they just say “Why Not?” and move forward with any idea they have. Petey, a Bronx native and Brett from New Jersey have the shirt formula idea down to a science. New popular color way? Catchy punch line? New sneakers dropping? They create and produce for the occasion.
These guys are what I call clothing producers. They gather the idea and make it become a reality with a wide team of graphic designers and artists – they provide THAT shirt which will perfectly go with your new fresh kicks. ”When it comes to designs we push ourselves to always take things to the next level, but not lose people, we feel like what a consumer buys is an extension of their personality, so we try to give people shirts that speak to the world,” says partner Petey who is a talented stand up comedian on the side. Brett is surprisingly a self-taught interior designer as well, which shows you these guys have more to them then a clothing brand. I have to respect the ambition behind these two men. They know a good idea when they see it and they stick with the right idea they know will deliver and execute their brand to the heart of the people.
Check out our shoot with some of the best of NCSRY gear we could get our hands on.
Make sure to check out their online shop at www.NCSRY.com and follow the brand @NCSRY.
As you all may know or may care to know, us 2 dope bitches are into fashion. We have our own very different yet similar styles and we have a very “IDGAF” attitude towards how we dress on the day to day. We do what we want and don’t worry about what people will think or say. We also have an appreciation for people who have similar outlooks on life.
V Magazine is a fantastic publication that always has gorgeous editorials, cool articles and sends out pretty dope emails to it’s loving members. V Magazine also has a very special section online called TMI where they quickly catch up with some cool kids around the globe. Check out below a few of our favorite episodes. The videos are short and to the point- whatever random point is trying to be made, that is.
KESH: Dress like you live, I suppose.
CASSETTE PLAYA: Forget the vomit and look at her hair, so lovely.
LADYFAG: Hair and not giving a shit- where’s her car?
Think you look different with makeup on?
Check out these UH-mazing photos of New York City drag queens in and out of their makeup shot by famed photographer Leland Bobbé. This photo shoot is beautiful. The makeup these guys do is really spectacular! I mean, the shading and blending in their makeup is breath taking. What, do these guys all go though some extensive and fabulous Drag-Queen-Bootcamp to get this stuff down? And the transformations they go through! I literally put my hand up to the screen to cover the “male” side of each and everyone of the photos and damn! They, for the most part, look nothing like the “regular” half. You can see the features and such but the Drag persona definitely takes over. I love this. It’s such a flattering way to showcase Drag Queens- not just another kitchy, cheesy show of feather boas and glitter- this shows pure artistry. Think what you may about Drag, but it’s an artform. I’m all for it!
In his Half-Drag series, New York photographer Leland Bobbé captures the two sides of the city’s drag queens — the extravagantly made-up drag divas and the organic men that lie beneath.
Bobbé tells Huffington Post Gay Voices, “Through the power of hair and makeup these men are able to completely transform themselves and find their female side while simultaneously showing their male side.” Shockingly, the identities are composed in camera and are not separate images joined during editing.
Bobbé posted the first portrait of the Half-Drag series on his blog last March, writing, “I got great feedback on the image so I decided to reach out to other drag queens using Facebook as my main means of communication… I’ve now shot four people with many more on the way. We’ll see where this takes me…”
Five months later, the project has taken the award-winning photographer far: It has been featured in Italian Vogue, fashion site Refinery 29, as well as in other websites and blogs from around the world. Bobbé reflects, “This is what the term ‘gone viral’ is all about.”

ADEEN, the brainchild of Lower East Side New York native Rembrandt Duran also known as Remy. Combing a fun mixture of acrylic, plush, and boyshorts the creative desginer has figured out a way to do it all. With his several themed collections he’s been able to market to every type of customer. From high fashion with his acrylic adorned snapbacks to the more minimalistic ROSEHOOD plush pins and then even adding some fun to the mix with flirty boy shorts Remy has a tremendous amount of creative diversity in his execution. Spotted on the likes of Rihanna, Cassie, and Kreyshawn the brand has definitely caught my eye. I saw these visuals with Andrej Pejic months ago and wondered where to find the notable and bluntly stated hats – funny how things come back around!
ADEEN’s Designer Remy
His newest addition to the collection – ADN features snapbacks with his lastest inspirations, the cities of New York, Los Angeles, and Japan as well as a patriotic USA hat. I’d love to get me a couple (LOVE the ‘CUNT’ and ‘LORD’ design) but these unique snapbacks will cost you a pretty penny, over 100$ – but if you got the dough this is what you should gettttttt.
Check out the hats below and check out adeenyc.com to see the rest of their collections as well as dope visuals and their blog. Good stuff.

On a very sunny and hot Saturday in Miami, I along with over 40 fitness enthusiasts joined celebrity trainer and extra dope chick, Jackie Warner on an hour-long cardio intensive workout on South Beach, did I say it was extremely scorching hot?

In partner ship with all-natural and all-perfectly pure Evian water, Jackie proceeded to beat our behinds and motivate us to the near point of exhaustion and luckily Evian was there on hand to keep us all hydrated. The workout took place at the beautiful Raleigh hotel located on South Beach as part of her three-city tour (New York, Los Angeles, Miami) to promote healthy and hydrated living with Evian. Located literally poolside, it was so refreshing and inspirational to see all kinds of people come together to workout. Any kind of exercise can be a big hurdle for some (including me!). It’s hard to stay motivated and even harder to be consistent when it comes to physical exercise, but Jackie’s encouraging words during the session made me think differently about fitness and how important it really is for all of us.

We did crunches, lunges, jumps, and tension band exercises ; proving that you can really get an intense workout without the help of a machine. When I say intense, I mean INTENSE but in a good way! Whenever I felt like giving up, Jackie would always know what to say to get me right back in the game; “I’m not doing something to you, I’m doing something for you.” Another thing I noticed was that there were several body types in attendance. From athletic and fit to novices among ordinary people who just honesty wanted to get fit. It really was about all different types of people striving to become fit together under Jackie’s wing with an urge to get our blood pumping for ourselves!

And pumping it did. No lie, I was sore for at least 2 days after this work out. If I didn’t have Evian at hand I probably would have passed out because the Florida sun was not playing that day! The Evian team was extremely helpful and cheerful. We also got these cute Evian goody bags filled with tension bands, headbands, cute body baby printed tees (Get it, Live YOUNG?), and healthy snacks. After the cardio session, Jackie had a short Q&A session with our group where she told us great healthy snacks and even shared that it its alright to have cheat meals as long as you stay on track with your daily fitness. Then, the group was treated to a healthy and delicious breakfast buffet which featured oatmeal, fruits, nuts, and other goodies.
It was honestly a very accomlplsihing day and a motivating experience. I want to thank everyone at Evian including Jodie and Anais plus the others who helped organize the event. Thanks again Jackie! You rule! Sigh, Amazing day.
Check out photos from the from the event below with a few personal ones mixed in there. Make sure to stay in tune with Evian and Jackie Warner below!

Here in Miami the weather can be pretty bi-polar. Any resident knows you can plan to go to the beach on a sunny day and get rained out- just for it to be sunny again minutes later.
There are hurricanes and tropical storms- not to mention (even though I’m mentioning it) that South Beach floods basically every time it drizzles. Along with all this precipitation it’s hot as hell down here. It gets muggy and isn’t exactly the type of weather you’d want to be caught in wearing a heavy coat.
There’s the obvious solution of carrying an umbrella but what else is there? I have been talking to a few people for a while about how badly I want a clear rain coat. It’s the perfect thing for Miami- it’s light, it protects you and your dope clothes from the rain while being stylish and not looking like a 4 year old (matching hat and boots anyone?)

I came across these raincoats made by Terra New York which are really awesome. There are a few variations in styles that give something for every girl. Named after well known New York City neighborhoods there is the Nolita, the Lower East Side and the Tribecca styes. These jackets are not cheap- they start around $240- but they are worth it in my eyes! They are made of recycled TPU/Urethane and sealed with heat making the jacket 100% waterproof (whereas other jackets are sewn together leaving places rain could seep into.) The Lower East Side parka has a hood big enough for a helmet so if you’re cycling in the rain you can still be safe.

I personally love the semi-transparent look of the jackets. The actual styling of them is beautiful as well. These aren’t stuffy. The cape is amazing and I really can’t decide which is my favorite.

That is the view from my apartment when it rains.. pretty foggy, windy, no time for an umbrella to turn inside out !

All of the mixtapes mentioned below are 100% co-signed by 2dopebitches.com ! We sat and listened to them, and firmly believe that these dudes are putting out real art, definitely worth the 5 second download and some space in your iPod or phone. These up and comers are killing it right now, so take a listen !

This young MC is out there doing what he has to do to become the educated black man society tries to hold back. Produced by DJ Burn One, the beats are on point and he is surprisingly versatile. Great Job!

This Maryland rapper is lyrical and a great beat selector. This is volume one so I’m already hype for volume two. I’ve personally watched this dude grow as a musician and he just keeps getting better.

After about 2 years the dope DJ presents this EP, 8 songs definitely worth checking out. It’s a chill mixtape, I played it while doing work in my room and then I had to hit repeat a couple times.

This young MC never ceases to keep my attention- he samples/uses old school beats, has intricate rhyming abilities and a hilarious sense of humor. He keeps getting better, too. Watch out!
*We always are out to support the dope artists that are out there grinding. Honestly we get a LOT of music submissions everyday and it’s just us 2 dope bitches so we may take a minute but we do check our emails!
