This past Thursday, Aja and I had the honor to support our girl JAHNEEN a.k.a Mommy Warbucks at her event dubbed SCREWED UP. I’ve gotta say, the fact this event was titled SCREWED UP already made it dope even before the date. The theme included chopped and screwed music, purple drank complete with styrofoam cups, and lots of great company. Our boys Sean Bang and JUSTDIMY were on the 1′s and 2′s and lets just say the music was so good we said we were leaving about 5 times before we actually left, every song they played just made us stay longer!
We arrived when Steven A. Clark took the stage and I’ve got to say, I’m beyond impressed. I have met and promoted events in which Steven was performing at but never got to catch him in action. This time around, I literally walked in and thought they were playing a new Kid Cudi song. It wasnt even that he sounds like Cudi, it was just the over all composure and professionalism of his sound and voice were of the highest quality and his singing style and production is a dark but sweet kind of style. I’m definitely looking forward to hearing more of him. He won The305.com’s Album of the Year by an Independent Artist 2011 for his project titled “Stripes” listen to it below, definitely worth the download.
Also performing was J.NICS, which really got the crowd going. Great humble guy with a healthy Miami following and not to mention a great southern sound. It was also my first time seeing him perform and its no wonder he’s performing all around town, he’s a talented man! Check out his new video “From The South” below – that shit go hard!
Overall, I had a blast with our friends Jennesy, the Silent Hand crew, Ms. Warbucks, and more. Always a good time out with the crew and definitely looking forward to more events like this. Check out our pictures below and head over to the SilentHand’s Facebook for more photos (they were on their job that night with the flix, we were having too much fun LOL)

Ms. Warbucks Herself.

Jennesy’s reaction to the triple overtime by the Miami Heat. LOL.

Shots in the Whip before the event!

This past Friday in Miami , South Beach once again surprised us DOPE BITCHES with a great private corporate event to celebrate Miami Fashion Swim Week. Diesel along side SKYY VODKA brought down Mr.Theopolis London to their Diesel store location on Washington Street right on the beach. Add some babes , sun , and great music courtesy of Theo – the nights event was a success.
The store was displaying their new swimwear along with other exclusive item from the upcoming Diesel season and plenty of Diesel corporate and NY employees were in attendance which I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing.
OH WAIT , did I mention free SKYY Vodka ?! Oh man and some killer Hors d’oeuvres?! I was in heaven. I headed out to the event with my fellow blogger Miss Mommy Warbucks and were right on time (and we stayed the whole event till we got kicked out, opps!).
Big thanks to Watts , Brooke , and the rest of the great people I met that night ! Peep my pictures of some of the beautiful people who attended the event as well as pictures of Theo himself. Holla. Check out my girls site (Mommy Warbucks!) for additional coverage plus a video of the event!

Disney Pixar’s next adorable animated movie marketed for kids but sure to be loved by adults is called “Brave” and is about an adorable Scottish girl with a knack for archery and a head full of red-orange curls Rihanna would be jealous of.
Speaking of girl power, don’t forget to buy your tickets for SUGAR FREE July 9th, brought to you by Mommy Warbuck$, Hosted by us dope bitches, with a monster lineup of dope female DJ’s and artists and a couple dope male ones too!
Check out the official info:
Story
Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts.Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin, surly Lord Macintosh and cantankerous Lord Dingwall. Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.

Here at 2DB we like to get behind the scenes. Know the ins and outs of the music industry. Luckly , our girl over at MOMMYWARBUCK$ is the same way and with her recent interviews with an up and coming music producer, writer , and performer Ricky Blaze – we have a glimpse into the music industry from a totally fresh viewpoint. And if you didn’t know he’s responsible for that catchy “Hold Yuh” song by Gyptian made more popular by Nicki Minaj’s verse – Heres a little Ricky Blaze 101 from the Momma herself:
Blaze is responsible for the “Hold Yuh” record by Gyptian and is also noted for his feature on the Major Lazer record “Keep It Going Louder” which also featured the lovely ladies of Nina Sky. A genre of music, “Trancehall” is recognized as a type of music that originates from a trend that Blaze is responsible for as he began to mix gritty Dancehall tracks with Trance music. Not only has he had a major impact on Dancehall music, and has been responsible for influencing epidemics such as Dubstep, he is now making his mark in Hip Hop and Pop.
Check out the interview below with the music extraordinaire and check out her website for more in the series, “A Day in the life of Ricky Blaze”.
Ahhh , Here at 2DOPEBITCHES we embrace and welcome all opportunities to collaborate. Because one community of friends is better than a community of haters ! We can all grow together in this metropolis of opportunity which we call Miami. With that said one of our top supporters and super dope chick her self has started to make way in the music community .
MOMMY WARBUCK$ is one pretty cool chick from Cali/Miami/Jamaica. When it comes to Jahneen aka MOMMY she gives it to you straight forward: She’s not here to fuck around. Working with one of Miamis top entertainment lawyers, she handles the other side of the industry - legalities and consulting for entertainers of all kinds. I respect her hustle because in a city flooded with stylists, promoters, and wanna-be entertainers , Jahneen keeps it real and keeps it strictly business.
We had the honor of catching up with her for out recent event and did an interview for her new website. Which is spectacular , to say the least. Check it out for the latest in Miami events and music.

This past Wednesday your favorite 2 Dope Bitches hosted the first of many dope events in Miami Beach at Soles Inc, one of the premiere sneaker stores in South Beach!
The event was a Spring Break Release party for a collaborative T-Shirt design by the Philly clothing companies Babylon Cartel and ANMLHSE. Check them out- they are certainly the ones to watch for!
So, nothing is ever truly perfect and our event was no exception to that rule. That being said, the night went really well with some of Miami’s (and Philly, Ohio, Maryland, DC and who knows where else’s) most amazing people who came through to show love. DJ Ollie J, as always, was spinning the soundtrack to a great crowd, rocking the really dope shirt he designed with Sole’s owner Adam Bishop. Check out the website for Soles Inc. to stay up to date on what’s hot in the world of kicks and check out the blog while you’re at it!
This was the first thing Norma and I have ever hosted so of course we were worried about turn-out, issues and anything that could have gone wrong but this really was a success. The crowd was mixed and so many different, awesome artists and individuals really made this event. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who supported the cause that night!
And, it being a fashion event held at a sneaker store, the shoe-game of our guests was CRAZY. We are going to do a post just on the shoes of the night. So Kudos to you guys
Check out the illustrious MOMMYWARBUCKS for her coverage of the night (amazing photographer, btw).
The cool guys from truefxckinstory stopped by as well as the HotDamn! crew, the crazy dudes of Metro Zu, our boy Customz from Draw Away The Fat , Phil from Lavish Exposure and Dre from MIA Skateshop! We also made new friends with the stylish guys over at The Urban Relaxation. The amount of love shown Wednesday is just incredible.
And did I mention that this dude washed my car?? That’s right. I parked my car in front of Soles Inc and random guys were leaning on it so I went to them and asked them to watch the car for me (cause I knew if I asked them to get off they would get back on as soon as I went inside the store). Well this bamma was drunk and must have heard “wash the car” and I made him pinky promise to “watch it” and next thing I know, he’s outside with a bucket and some newspaper. Score.
We will be invading your to-do list with more events so stay tuned!
Now for the fun part, the pictures!! Peep them on the next page!!
