When you think of Tie Dye what comes to mind? Hippies? Corny “IM IN MIAMI BITCH” shirts? I think deep down, most people connect Tie Dye with their childhood- I know I do. I remember making sloppy multicolored crap with my sisters while my parents cleaned up the mess we made. Long gone are the days where my mom made me 3 meals a day and I had no worries in the world. Now that I’m growing up I cook my own meals, I have my own apartment (with a roommate), and I am starting to decorate my house like a certified adult. Recently I’ve painted some walls, added some furniture, and even started gardening a little (on my balcony).
So, I decided to add a little nostalgic color to my boring (and quickly dirty-looking) white bath mats. I sort of dropped the ball getting them in white, so this is an easy way to keep them looking nice. Plus, I think it’s a dope and memorable little detail to add to the bathroom. It was a little difficult since I went for the swirl pattern- I had to squinge up (yes, squinge is a word in my life) the thick mats into some sort of respectable circles. I watched some really good tutorials first, to get the pattern technique down. If you want to Tie Dye, get a simple kit like the Jacquard kit we used from Michael’s and watch the videos below. And wear gloves!

This past Friday April 20th a.k.a. 420 b.k.a. SUPER FRIDAYS at Mansion in South Beach went just as always- a dope crowd, great music, bottles flowed and DJ Craze along with the resident DJ’s KILLED it ! German-born photographer Jan von Holleben brings his playful imagination to reality as he continues on his ongoing photography series titled, “Dreams of Flying”. First developed in 2002 – Jan has been creating these wonderful joyous scenes placed on flat surfaces like roads and studio floors along with the help of his team and the children in his Southwest Germany neighborhood.
All it takes a ladder and a lot of imagination, and “Dreams of Flying” brings wonderfully placed objects,props,and of course people into a new perspective.

This event is strangely enough called CHRISTMAS IN JULY - and why you may ask ? Because the good folks over at Grand Central (and a little help from Santa too) are making it ran free Frosty Margaritas from 11-12PM and 8$ PBR & Jameson shots all night. OH SHIT , its “christmas” time.
Treasure Fingers music is like a disco-pop-electric inferno of happiness and definitely will make you start shaking somewhere I’m sure. I like this type of music it’s just fun and bubbly and happy music! Different from my usual “hustle hard” , “walkin in the club , fuck everybody” type Miami music (don’t get me wrong , I love ignorant rap!).

Draw Away The Fat x 2 Dope Bitches
This past Friday night , Your two favvv bitches enjoyed a great weekend starting off with a house party for Aja and her new roomie Hallie ! Beer pong , jello shots , and a DJ – all came together for this great event. Oh yeah , can’t forget the cops coming at about 1:30 AM to kill the party – but no biggie , all great party’s have an ending.
Had a great time meeting everyone and telling them about what we cookin; up , as well as forming great connects for upcoming projects! Everything was going great until Aja noticed HER MACBOOK WAS MISSING – one thing I CANNOT STAND or that makes me remarkably SICK , is that the idea that you could be invited into someones home for a happy occasion and still in the light of positivity you can still go as far as STEALING someones personal items , especially a computer. With no intentions but to allow you to have fun in someone else home , evil and dark people still can do wrong.

So , last Friday me and ms. ajacoolshoes headed out for some casual drinks and relaxation. We headed to a new spot we’ve never been before and it was “surprisingly” fun. We went to the lounge at the Mondrian Hotel in South Beach on West Ave and 11th. It’s a beautiful chic hotel with a nice touch of art/pop culture. When we walked in we were greeted by a pair of huge Lady Gaga looking eyes. We walked right in they didn’t even ask for our I.D.’s!

We bought drinks which we didn’t know what they were (“I’ll take what she’s having!”) which were the normal South Beach rate of $15-ish. The drinks were good and the atmosphere was pleasant. Very nice way to spend the evening and just enjoy yourself to decent music. It was an open format but not the usual weird techno music. Just right.
P.S.- Beautiful pool deck and Bar area ! Check it out !
Anyways I totally recommend it for a laid-back night for the usual Miami socialite. Holla !
