Meet Kesh (Kesh Kumari), a self proclaimed “wildcat” who has been a topic of my internet browsing since 2005.

When I first ran across her MySpace page way back when, I saw this outrageous, colorful clothing designer who also did graphic design and was already featured in magazines. She styled lots of musical talent including DJ Atrak, M.I.A., and Luper Fiasco. She’s also friends with Cassette Playa ( who designed my Stussy dress ) .

This picture is a few years old...

She was selling limited runs of her awesome, crazy T-Shirt designs- I was lucky enough to snag one that I still have today.

I cut mine up into a tank top like i do with a majority of my t-shirts:

According to Wikipedia:

Kesh’s father is of Malaysian descent and her mother is of Trinidadian heritage. She attended Southgate College but is believed to have been kicked out for fighting. Soon after, she formed the DJ collective The Coconut Twins with Zezi Ifore. The two met on the set of an Ears MC video shoot. Kesh is close friends with artist M.I.A. and has appeared on stage with her as a dancer during her KALA Tour in 2007. Kesh has also designed for other artists. She showcased some of her work as part of the MAN London Fashion Week for Topman, and modelled for designer Katherine Hamnett and Basso & Brooke at London Fashion Week and for Nike in Milan.

A documentary on her was made by Al Gore’s Current TV. She launched her eponymous label Keshwear – a fusion of 1980s clubwear and modern street style. Her designs have been worn by musicians including M.I.A., Mariah Carey, Lupe Fiasco, Dizzee Rascal, Big Daddy Kane, A-Trak, Jammer, Kanye West and T.I..

Kesh made her New York Fashion Week debut in September 2008. The show was held at Anonymous Gallery in SoHo and was sponsored by The Fader magazine. And, she rocks

After the jump peep the pictures and a video of this Hot Bitch!
