A few weeks ago we got the chance to hang out with YNG during the filming of his video for “Still Not A Player”, the dope new single off his newest project NSTB II. Norma and I had a fun time, talking shi*t, drinking 40′s and eating Wendy’s on the off time, and made sure to strike a few old school poses here and there. Shot in Miami’s Wynwood area by the very talented Unkle Luc, there is no surprise that the visual came out really great.
The video features lots of Vintage Stereon clothing, along with some ILL vintage pieces like that Heat Jacket and Orlando Magics Jersey. A special third dope bitch got thrown into the mix, I forgot her name, but she was a blast to work with also, very well behaved.

Miami Westside clothing brand Fastlife Clothing Company has released their Winter capsule collection. The lookbook shot by UnkleLuc and featuring me (Norma) and my beautiful cousin Alexandra was a blast to shoot. Even if I think I look fat (I ate McDonalds before and drank some Henny on set, probably not a good model choice) the pictures are nothing short of amazing as you would expect from the visual genius that is UnkleLuc. The team puts out some great some great signature pieces playing on guns and the “fast life” (my favorite is the check board crew neck sweater!). The Holiday season usually means a decrease in temperature, family time, and money being spent. Yes, the Holidays are among us again. Halloween has passed meaning the winter months are among us. Even though I’m from Maryland, I feel like a true Miami-an in many ways, one of them being my undying love of all night/day parties. As I stated in my previous Nasty Gal post, the best part of the holidays, to me, are the glitzy and glamorous parties that come with the territory.
And YES, you read correctly, this is a lineup of my favorite pieces from Victoria’s Secret. The long time lingerie retailer actually has some really nice clothes! A week ago if someone said “Vicky’s Secret Clothing” I’d instantly think of Real Housewives of wherever reaching to be young and sexy (think Amy Poehler as the rich mom in “Mean Girls”) and teens in “Pink” branded apparel. However, I recently got invited on a trip to the VS headquarters in Ohio and lo and behold, there are some really nice dresses, sweaters and even workout gear !

ANMLHSE (pronounced ‘Animal House’) is an amazing Philly-based clothing company created by a group of cool kids with official art school backgrounds. Designers Panda Reemy and Johnny Rabbit have an obvious theme affinity for animals, showcased in several of their designs and graphics from the line. These guys not only create imaginative pieces for the clothing line but are really great graphic designers as well. Their designs are always fresh, sometimes funny, and never gimmicky. I am actually obsessed with their Newport Cigarette inspired pocket tee (and by the way, pocket tees rule the world) which features a fake pack of cigs as the pocket and the Newport slogan “GUILTY PLEASURE” on the back in the familiar ad style. It’s beyond dope.
The company is all about brotherhood- fitting, being from Philly. It’s all about spreading love and building with the creative people around you. One thing I really appreciate about the brand is that it appreciates the loyal fans, which are dubbed ‘Anmls’. They are like one big well-dressed happy family. I got a chance to catch up with the guys while in Philly for the Roots Picnic in June, then again at the Trillectro concert in DC this past August. AnmlHse is the official brand of Raider Klan, making sick shirts and hats for the crew and it’s growing fan base. The brotherly love has spread from Philly down to Miami and is even international. Seeing photos of stylish Japanese kids in Raider Klan tees and Party Animal strap-backs is the norm.
Anyway, the people at AnmlHse are super nice guys and, thankfully, we scored some pretty good shirts and hats before it was too late. This brand is on the rise, and style quickly get sold out. In the sprit of entrepenurship, we are always supporting up and coming everything here at 2DOPEBITCHES. From music to clothing brands we support the hometeam. Thats why when I was approched by my friend Barry A.K.A. UNO to add some swag to his lookbook for his new clothing brand, I did not resist.
The concept is clean. Young Black and Gifted. Founders UNO and Loucci are doing something different. By adding finishing touches and customizations to vintage found pieces and creating simple yet clean designs, YBG promises to bring something collture and handmade to their online shop. Im excited to see what these two guys cook up and it was a pleasure working with them. They literally just opened up their online shop with a great presentation. Our good friend Gianni Lee has been making waves in the fashion world for a while now with his dope brand- Babylon Cartel- which is definitely worth checking out. But he is no simple man. Aside from fashion he does graphic design, throws crazy parties (with Maddecent no less) and is a pretty great DJ. He’s been putting together mixes- not just songs he likes- he’s been curating a sound- Trill wave.
Trill Wave is a mash-up musical style that encompasses gangsta rap, chopped and screwed, dub step, Philly dance, EDM and everything in between. His mixes include the likes of A$AP Rocky and Space Ghost Purrp and features new-comers like Ryshon Jones, Flatbush Zombies and Paris Artelli.
The Trill Wave mixtape was a collaborative effort between Gianni and Panda Reemy of ANMLHSE, another dope ass clothing brand out of Philly. Check them out as well. With these two musical dudes’ minds at work they selected the trillest music, then compiled it, created the cover art and brought you something no one else has!
