Natassia Gail Zolot better known as Kreayshawn is a rapper/director from San Francisco, California – to be more accurate East Oakland. Gaining huge internet attention and popularity after her video for “Gucci Gucci“, her White Girl Mobb and her unique appearance caught the attention of the world and Columbia Records. Now Krey has worked with artists like Theophilus London, Juicy J, and now 2 Chainz.
Tauheed Epps known as 2 Chainz, formerly known as Tity Boi is an Atlanta, Georgia rapper hailing from College Park. Previously signed to Ludacris’s Disturbing Tha Peace record label, this ATL rapper changed his name due to speculation about what Tity Boy actually meant. Now as 2 Chainz, his success is almost overnight as he’s already worked with artists such as Kanye West, Drake, Pusha T, and the list is endless as 2 Chainz seems to be the ideal choice for a feature these days.
The thought of Kreayshawn and 2 Chainz in the studio together for one track is daunting enough but two? This is interesting. Kreayshawn’s annoying but cute voice dominates the tracks over 2 Chainz Southern draw and violent lyrics. “Murder, Murder, this right here is Murder”, 2 Chainz repeats and repeats on the track “Murder” which is a single off his upcoming mixtape T.R.U. REALigion. Gotta love how he keeps it street and the rap world cannot seem to get enough of Mr. 2 Chainz with nearly every other song featuring his rhymes. I don’t honestly don’t like this raps, “I’m smoking on exotic my girl ain’t got no stomach
Every time we have sex she always ask me for a hundred” – not genius work if you ask me but it makes the clubs and the hood bounce so that’s all it takes. Kreayshawn on the other hand I can give some props. Her rhymes are funny and enjoyable. I relate ! “Gucci Gucci”, is literally the “im-the-different-kind-of-girl-who-shops-at-thirft-stores-and-wears-cool-kicks” anthem and will never fail to get me to start rappin’ and hatin’ on basic bitches, “One big room, full of bad bitches”. Either way, you can love or hate Kreayshawn but she’s winning, and with the new track “Breakfast” feat. 2 Chainz she gives us a glimpse into her upcoming album “Somethin’ ‘Bout Kreay“. Will Rick Ross be featured? I doubt it, but she still got the street cred from none other than her partner in crime, or should I say Murder, 2 Chainz.
IT’S HERE ! Hide yo kids ! Hide Yo Wife ! Cause they rapin everybody out here !
OK but seriously. The internet is a buzz from the recent allegation from a Christian radio host named Harold Camping. Camping runs a show called Family Radio from his Oakland, California studio and has studied the bible for 70 years. The 88 year old ‘bible scholar’ used to be a civil engineer and it was a few years ago this man made a couple of calculations and crunched a few numbers and came out with a special date for the Day of Judgment: May 21, 2011.
His show is heard all over the world, according to him, it touches every part of the globe, from Cali to China. “We are now translated into 48 languages and have been transmitting into China on an AM station without getting jammed once,” Camping said. “How can that happen without God’s mercy?”
So lets put aside all the speculation, all the doubts, and laughter – what if this day really was judgment day? The coming of Jesus and the rapture. You will be judged or you will be dammed to hell! Okay, that’s scary, but this is what believers of Christ believe. Religion is a scary concept when you think about it too deeply. I’ve been having a few doubts and questions arise since I switched my major to Religious Studies and let me tell you, religion is more than belief. Its formation of human nature and society, it builds morals, shows the true character of human beings and their gullibility.
Do you think you have lived your life justly? Treating other with respect and kindness? Do you think if you died tomorrow would you have lived your life to the fullest? The judgment day date is probably more than likely 98.9 percent BULLSHIT, but it’s got to get you thinking…
How have you been living your life?
Give you something to think about over here at 2DB, we’re not just all titty Tuesdays and fashion.

American Skateboard Shoe brand Vans has teamed up with the UK based Offspring, offering to us lowly consumers a brightly coloured (notice the “u” cause it’s from the UK) extremely-mini collection of lace-up Low’s to drool over this summer.
I needed a new pair of Vans anyway
This isn’t the first time Offspring and Vans made babies- let’s not forget last year’s collaboration- using sweatshirt material and heather grey and red as a theme.

The charismatic Ryan Leslie performed his new song “Breathe” for an audience at a San Francisco show recently. This was the first time the song was performed live, albeit without Mr. Hudson, who is on the hook.
The single is from Leslie’s upcoming album, “Les is More” set to be released July 4th.

This has got to be one of the coolest stores I’ve ever seen. Visually it is stunning and it literally has everything the average hipster may need on a day-to-day basis.
The Supermät (get it?) “will function as a one-stop shop where patrons can pick up a range of items, from vintage bikes to freshly baked bread with an eclectic mix of clothing, records and posters in between. (coolhunting).” The store was originally located in Malibu, CA but has recently move to a bigger L.A. location. The idea for such a store came to owner Nina Garduno when she visited Christiania, Copenhagen and thought that ”Instead of moving to a place like that, I wanted to live that feeling in Los Angeles.” I hope Miami is on her list of places to invade next.
