When you think of Tie Dye what comes to mind? Hippies? Corny “IM IN MIAMI BITCH” shirts? I think deep down, most people connect Tie Dye with their childhood- I know I do. I remember making sloppy multicolored crap with my sisters while my parents cleaned up the mess we made. Long gone are the days where my mom made me 3 meals a day and I had no worries in the world. Now that I’m growing up I cook my own meals, I have my own apartment (with a roommate), and I am starting to decorate my house like a certified adult. Recently I’ve painted some walls, added some furniture, and even started gardening a little (on my balcony).
So, I decided to add a little nostalgic color to my boring (and quickly dirty-looking) white bath mats. I sort of dropped the ball getting them in white, so this is an easy way to keep them looking nice. Plus, I think it’s a dope and memorable little detail to add to the bathroom. It was a little difficult since I went for the swirl pattern- I had to squinge up (yes, squinge is a word in my life) the thick mats into some sort of respectable circles. I watched some really good tutorials first, to get the pattern technique down. If you want to Tie Dye, get a simple kit like the Jacquard kit we used from Michael’s and watch the videos below. And wear gloves!

O’Grime: the epitome of raging, disorder, and obnoxious behavior all rolled up into one burrito. You wont get this reference unless you’ve done your homework. Either way, these guys have gotten over thousands of views on their unbelievably ridiculously entertaining videos for about a year now. From “Taco Bell Swag” to “Kush Smoke and Pu$$y“, Nikolas and L Rey are pretty fucking crazy.
So what did I do on the eve of 4/20? I spent it with the “Butane Gang” a.k.a. the O’Grime squad.These guys invited me to take part in the video for their newest record which was to release on 4/20 called “Dabbed Up Shawty“.
I don’t smoke weed. I don’t do drugs. But I do drink beer. But to each their own and these guys actually showed me something I’ve never seen before. Smoking though this kind of strange bong-like contraption, they were getting lifted with butane lighters and resin. I really don’t get it. I’m not even going to try to explain how it works because I don’t know. Something about a resin they keep on a wax type of paper and once they heat up this metal part they place the resin on it and inhale? I don’t know. I’m lost.
Either way, they literally stayed up all night and edited the video for its release on the infamous “Earth Holiday”. I had fun and was truthfully a bit intimated by that weird bong thing. These guys definitely have dedication and are always releasing new material which is admirable. Much love to these guys and check out their shit if you havent already! Oh yeah, and watch the video for “Dabbed Up Shawty” produced by CALIGULA . You’ll see this dope bitch in action eating an apple and reading Edgar Allen Poe, just watch and see. YOOOPP!!
