A few weeks ago we got the chance to hang out with YNG during the filming of his video for “Still Not A Player”, the dope new single off his newest project NSTB II. Norma and I had a fun time, talking shi*t, drinking 40′s and eating Wendy’s on the off time, and made sure to strike a few old school poses here and there. Shot in Miami’s Wynwood area by the very talented Unkle Luc, there is no surprise that the visual came out really great.

The video features lots of Vintage Stereon clothing, along with some ILL vintage pieces like that Heat Jacket and Orlando Magics Jersey. A special third dope bitch got thrown into the mix, I forgot her name, but she was a blast to work with also, very well behaved.

Us Two Dope Bitches didn’t get to make it out to the PROJECT trade show this past February, but we definitely had a few friends who we lived vicariously through with the help of their Twitters, Instagrams, etc. We definitely plan to head out to a PROJECT trade show soon, but in the meanwhile we have to marvel at the strides and creativity this show has offered the area of fashion and culture in general.

The Street Heart spotlight by PROJECT MVMNT is right on target with the most prominent and forward-thinking female designers in the *quote* female street-wear scene *quote* as street-wear as a name continues to develop and transform into something which is quite frankly not able to be easily categorized. The roster of female designers and creatives are impressive and have honestly been on my radar since 2007 (my high school sneaker-head days!). You have all probably seen their designs on celebrities and fashionistas, or cool chicks – but now we get to see the faces in action of some of underground fashion’s most hustling designers.

Melody Ehsani, a featured Reebok shoe designer and jewelry magician, has probably crossed your path by her Cassie co-signs and now famously copied Versace inspired Lion Head accessories; Linda & Tammy of Love+Made have turned their clothing brand into producing events with their special touch and diving into to other mediums; Lanie Alabanza-Barcena of Hellz Bellz & BOTB is a now staple in off-the-wall bad girl/cool girl designs and clothing; and Coco & Breezy are twin eyewear designers who are growing more and more each day. All these ladies have had small beginnings and are now community leaders in their mediums. I’ve personally been following all these artists from the get and its inspiring to see their development showcased at the PROJECT MVMNT show!

See the recap of the Street Hearts area during PROJECT below. Love them all.

We here at 2dopebitches.com always like to support the local force of Miami-ans doing their thing and Ms. Mikara Reid of Maquillage Blvd is no exception. The UM student/Model is currently working hard on her new makeup company (pronounced mah-kee-ahj Boulevard) which is packed with brightly colored nail polishes and treatments, lip colors, and much more. I have had the opportunity to work with Mikara on some back-end details and I have to say, the products really speak for themselves! I got a chance to try basically everything she has to offer and I can’t wait until they are available to the public.

Check out the Official Facebook page HERE for updates on when the items will be available and where to buy ! The products are Paraben and Gluten free, perfect for all the crazy allergies that seem to be popping up left and right!

In today’s musical environment, one’s image has never been more important, and that of course translates into musicians’ videos. Everyone these days has “swag”- the cool “it” hat or tee can be seen on basically anyone walking down the street. That’s boring now. One thing that an artist can call his or her own though is the visualization of their music. And one thing I love about really well done music videos is that it can be something so personal, so true to the vibe and meaning of the song, something that not everyone can jack and water down. Like, I’m tired of being told to Comme Des Fuck Down. Let’s see something dope and new !

There are two videos that caught my attention today that I have to share with you all. They are from very different musical genres: one a Philly based rapper, one a UK based electro producer, but they both have visually amazing videos. Check them out below and please note, they may cause seizures!!

Gilbere Forte “Pray”

Featuring a haunting sample of Fiona Apple’s “Every Single Night”. Directed by Qarim Brown. Tight work. A little bit trendy with the angelic baroque theme that is so right now, but still very good.

Follow Forte on Twitter @Gilbereforte for more updates!

Bonobo “Cirrus”

Utilizing clips from the 1950′s in the craziest way, this video by Cyriak blew my mind. The amount of work this took is unimaginable to my feeble mind. The song is a little creepy and the video, at least to me, is a testament to American consumerism. Or maybe it’s just a bunch of GIFs.

Follow Bonobo in Twitter @Sibonobo for more info, his music is chill and perfect pool side.

This video reminds me of “Civilization” by Marco Brambilla. Check out our coverage of the amazing video installation HERE.

Peep the new visuals for Prez P (of Da Camp) ‘s single “As I Ride By” featuring  Gaby Duran (of Duran Blu.)  Giving you a look at the not so glamorous life of many a “video vixen” hopeful in Miami. There’s so much more than just being a pretty face, and too many girls get caught up and end up in situations they probably shouldn’t be in.  The video was shot and directed by the ever talented Unkle luc, who never  disappoints.

This is the second single off of Prez P’s album Dream SucceeDie – the album features Da Camp, J Nics, Phresh James, and Kris Calloway. Production from Numonics, Manuvers, Benny B, and BlackMarket. Mixed by Jukxxx, J Beats the Beast, Jairo and more.

DOWNLOAD HIS ALBUM HERE!

It’s been playing in my house all day, the type you can just press play and not skip through.

Make sure to follow Prez P ( @PrezP_BeCampin  )  and Da Camp ( @_Da_Camp_ ) on Twitter for more updates !

SilentHand presents to you Frantz MZA and Luni Lovin in Black Friday, off of Frantz MZA’s upcoming mixtape “Everything’s For Sale”. Visuals shot by SosaSupreme, beat produced by Frantz MZA, co-produced by 2dopebitches.com’s own Aja ! It’s so cool to know that the “weird” music I bump daily on Spotify can help create whole songs for my friends.

*Fun Fact- Frantz actually sampled “All Your Love” by Hudson Mohawke,  a song I listen to almost too much, to make the beat for “Black Friday.”

We got the chance to help style the low key video and had lots of fun on this one. One thing I love about these dudes is that yes they are talented and hard working, but they are so damn nice and down to earth, and you can see it in their work.

Downloand Frantz’s album HERE !

Also, be sure to check the dudes out on FACEBOOK and their OFFICIAL WEBSITE

It’s Wednesday which means we are thisclose to Friday, the weekend and hopefully more relaxing than we did during the crazy work/school week. To get you through this humpday night please enjoy some fresh new videos from a few artists we love.

Check out the trailer for “Talk is Cheap” by Rel.B. I had the pleasure of going to his record release party last weekend up north in a place I like to call East Bumblef*ck but really it was West Palm Beach. ALL of the performances were energetic and high quality and so was the live art ! Photos coming real soon.  Follow Rel.B on twitter for more updates from this up and comer!

Rel’s video was shot by Silent Hand Ent. Speaking of those guys, check out their video for “Slough Dough” the first single off their upcoming EP. The video is very creative and has a pretty detailed back story. You get cool points if you can spot where they shot this!

Be sure to support these guys and check out their website and follow them on Twitter.

Another noteworthy track from a young MC is “Middle East” by rMell. I love the awkwardness of the video and the shortness of the track kept me captivated and never bored. Stepping outside of Florida for a minute, I got the chance to meet this dude while at the Trillectro music festival in DC and he’s super nice. One time for freckles! Oh, his album “FRECKLES” is out, peep it here.
