This bathing suit is HOT. This isn’t your mom’s old school one-piece. I mean, it’s a skin baring, sultry bathing suit that somehow seems pretty comfortable while showcasing all your goodies perfectly. Could you ask for more? And just in time for the Summer I might ad! The suit comes in Miami Heat White (I’m calling it that), an early 90′s Pastel Pink and Blue combination, and Black (which doesn’t really do it for me). Minimale Animale (the brain child of Fashion Design student turned Stylist turned Designer Cassandra Kellogg) took cues from this great city for it’s Summer 13 collection, aptly titled “Miami Vice.” It’s a little bit classy, very sexy, flashy, and attention grabbing, just like Miami.
I love the decadent feel of this suit. It clocks in at $285, and is available HERE.
Now, I’m going to start doing some hard-core pilates so I can rock this thing with pride. I’ll most likely open a lemonade stand to raise the money needed for this suit too!

Last Summer we did a really fun photo shoot with our girl Tobi who runs and operates Fox House, a rad online boutique geared toward the fashion forward flower child and anyone who loves pretty things and great vintage finds. Tobi is a smart, down to earth Miami girl with a West Coast vibe, so she’s the perfect go to girl for Summer closet updates to your wardrobe! With brands like MinkPink, Somedays Lovin, High Heels Suicide and Hawk Couture, Fox House delivers consumers unique and covetable pieces that you can’t find everywhere.
Want to see what Fox House has to offer?
What’s more is that Tobi also runs the Fox House blog, where you can find new item updates, new artist highlights, tips on how to wear the pieces and lots and lots of inspiration for creating a dope outfit.
Stay updated on Facebook as well, where you’ll find new products and GIVEAWAYS/CONTESTS that are definitely worth entering !
Since it’s now officially Spring (and starting to get hot in Miami again THANK THE LORD), here are a few photos from our shoot to get you in the Summer Time mood !
We here at 2DOPEBITCHES.COM always are on the look out for new and exciting fashion concepts that will make sure the wearer will stand out in any crowd. Enter: Chromat Garments- “Structural experiments for the human body” According to the official Facebook page. The young company (founded in 2010) seems to take cues from a broad range of sources such from the crinolines of the 1800′s to the iconic Jean Paul Gaultier bra of Madonna’s 1990 Blonde Ambition tour, with Comic Book Villains and Carttoons also adding to the melting pot of ideas.
I love the way the pieces range from demure and relaxed (small bow head band) to extremely outrageous (red “Jessica Rabbit” Cage dress). The creator, Becca McCharen, has a background in Architecture and Urban Design. Some of the garments take design elements from scaffoldings and buildings, while others mimic exoskeletons or even superhero masks. The ideas are intricate yet simple, and leave room for each wearer to really personalize the pieces. All of the cage pieces are made to order, so it takes about 3 weeks to be delivered, but I think it’s totally worth having that jaw-dropping conversation starter in your wardrobe. I need some of this in my life- maybe I’ll start small with the Mickey Mouse ears or the Cat Ear headband.
* Fun Fact: The 135 backup dancers for Beyoncé’s Super Bowl performance this year were all wearing Chromat harnesses- Kudos to Chromat for getting into the best show of the year and to the stylists who paid that extra amount of attention to detail !
Now, who’s daring enough to pull these looks off??
Make sure your follow Chromat on TWITTER and FACEBOOK as well for updates on new collections and pieces !
Here are some of my personal favorite Chromat goodies:

Recently we got the opportunity to work with a few very dope women who are doing their things in the fashion and photography worlds. Angela Mejia is a talented photographer from Chicago with a knack for fashion photography as well as architecture and (my personal favorite) food photography. Once we linked up with her, we also met Estrella Figeuroa who did a fabulous job on our makeup and Vanessa Castillo who got great behind the scenes shots from us getting our makeup done to posing by the Bay in Downtown Miami.
We acted as our own stylists for the shoot (which makes sense as we are sometimes stylists to others) and made sure to bring our personal vibe to the shoot. With our gold grills, American Apparel basics, name plate necklaces, signature heels and accessories, along with some ANML HSE thrown in for good measure, I think we gave a pretty accurate taste of our day to day style.
Please check out these lovely ladies’ Facebook pages for more info/updates on their work !
I don’t know where women’s street wear has gone. From my middle schools days in Dickies and spray paint shirts to High School and my Married To The Mob gear, you have to respect the lane of brands that keep the style consist and stick to what they started with. One of these brands is Brooklyn-founded Yours Truly and their newest collection,’Yours Truly Sindustries’. Featuring five-panels for the ladies and wide-neck raglans (check the zipper detail on the neck, dope!). The collection definitely looks comfortable. I’m not a smoker but my favorite pieces have got to be the LOUD five-panel with Ganja leaf print under-brim and that HOT leather five-panel with nice addition of “24K” to make it extra official.
Check out more of Yours Truly’s newest collection and check out the rest of their online store which features other brand such as Motel, Stussy, and UNIF.

Shouts to Eric for the dope Champion shorts, easy to see we’re in love. Miami shit.
Another piece of evidence that the clash of “urban” meets high-fashion is going down, Alexander Wang released a video part of their Spring 2013 campaign which features the ghetto-fabulous Bon Qui Qui played by comedienne Anjelah Johnson as a newly hired retail employee at the Soho store location. Featuring cameos by Simon Doonan, A$AP Rocky, Alessandra Ambrosio, and more this is a hilarious video and shows the influence of media directly on fashion and pop culture as a whole. If you never heard of Bon Qui Qui, she will cut you. Her skits made viral history after performing the skit for MAD TV back in 2007/2008. Watch her infamous KING BURGER character skit afterwards. LOVE IT.
